Live Oak trees (Latin: Quercus) are most commonly found in the Southern-region of the United States, native to the Gulf Coast states such as Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Live Oaks are an evergreen tree used for their shade and beauty. These trees are fast-growing, durable and can live up to 1000 years old, growing to a height of 80 feet and a spread of 60-100 feet.
Live Oaks thrive in full sun and are best-planted with ample space to grow. When initially planted, these trees require heavy watering. For hotter climates and seasons, it is recommended to water 4-5 times a week when initially planted. For milder climates and seasons, it is recommended to water 2-3 times a week when initially planted. Once rooted, Live Oaks can be drought tolerant and survive with little to no water due to their extensive root systems. Their roots are expansive and tend to grow horizontally, rather than vertically, allowing them to tap into various water sources that other trees are not able to reach.
While there are several types of Live Oaks, our tree nursery primarily carries Texas Live Oaks (Latin: Quercus Fusiformis). We offer a large selection of Live Oaks for sale, both young and mature, ranging from 30 gallon to 200 gallon. Our most popular Live Oak size is 45 gallon and we aim to maintain a 3-4 foot spread with a 2-3 inch caliper on these sizes.

RED OAKS
Red Oak trees (Latin: Quercus Rubra) are native to North America and can be found virtually anywhere in the United States, spanning from East Coast to West Coast and from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes.
Red Oaks are deciduous trees, meaning they shed their leaves annually. This is probably their most well-known characteristic — just before shedding their leaves, they turn beautiful bright and Autumn colors, creating breathtaking landscapes and seasonal attractions.
Red Oaks thrive in soil that is slightly acidic and are best planted in areas that are away from the home due to their large spread, or canopy size. Their watering maintenance is similar to Live Oaks: when initially planted, heavy watering is always recommended. For hotter climates, it is recommended to water 4-5 times per week when initially planted. For milder climates, 2-3 times per week is recommended when initially planted. Their drought tolerance is also similar to Live Oaks by way of their expansive root systems. Once roots are established, Red Oaks can survive on little to no water. This is due to their expansive and horizontal root systems enabling them to tap into multiple water sources that other trees are not able to.
Though there are several types of Red Oaks, we primarily carry Texas Red Oaks, also known as The Shumard Oak (Latin: Quercus Shumardii). We offer a large selection of Texas Red Oaks for sale, both young and mature, ranging from 30 to 100 gallon. Our most popular Red Oak sizes are the 45 gallon with a height of 7.5 feet, a spread of 5 feet and a 3 inch caliper. Our other most popular Red Oak size is our 65 gallon with a height of 9 feet, a spread of 7 feet and a 6 inch caliper.

CREPE MYRTLES
Crepe Myrtle trees (Latin: Lagerstroemia) are ornamental trees that are native to Indonesia and thrive in warmer climates. However, they are found all over the United States. Although Crepe Myrtle is a genus of around 50 species of deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs, we exclusively carry deciduous Crepe Myrtle trees. This means that all of our Crepe Myrtle trees bloom in the months of May, June, July and August, and they shed their bloom and leaves in the Winter whenever they go dormant.
Crepe Myrtle trees are best planted near the home. This is because of their soft root system, they are not prone to damaging building foundation structures. Crepe Myrtles can be described as “indestructible” trees as they can survive freezes, droughts, floods and other harsh weather events. Whenever initially planted, it is best to water your Crepe Myrtle trees 3-4 times per week. This can vary based on climate — for harsher climates, 3-4 times a week is suggested, for milder climates 2-3 times a week is suggested.
There are several types of Crepe Myrtles and we most commonly carry Basham Natchez, Tuscarora, Pink Velor. Our most common Crepe Myrtle sizes are 15, 30 and 45 gallons.
